How To Backup Your Andriod Smartphone Contacts
Automatic Method
This method has to deal with
Synchronizing: Using this you are required to signup for a google account(GMAIL) in which you would have to link it with your phone by going to your Andriod Phone Settings by selecting "Add Account" and follow the instructions on the next screen to get it activated. With this your phone contact will be added to Google Account automatically through automatic synchronization.
To be sure your contacts has been automatically backed up, Login to your google account >> Click on Menu >> Select contacts
you will see the list of contacts which have being saved in your google account and it is safe and secure.
Manual Method
This method is unlike the automatic method, in this method it involves moving your phone contacts to and external source/storage outside your smartphone internal storage and it is time consuming.
Manual Steps To Move Your Phone Contacts
This method requires the use of External storage Such as your Memory Card which is also known as SD Card.
Follow the steps below:
>>Switch off your smartphone and Insert your memory card and switch it on.
>>After switching on your smartphone, click on your menu icon and then click on the "CONTACTS ICON">Tap the menu icon of your phones contact to display the option menu
>>Choose Import/Export from the option menu that is displayed
>>Storage options will appear on the next page, then select your Memory Card/SD Card and click next to continue the process
>>A page contaning all your contacts will be displayed with the option of selecting the contacts you want to backup
Select all the contacts and tap on the "OK" button at the top of your screen to finish the process
>>All your selected contacts will be saved in a folder in your Memory Card/SD Card. Locate the folder in your SD Card to verify if all the contacts are there.
Switch off your phone and take out your SD Card from your phone and keep it in a safe place.
I have to stop here, though there are some other methods which you can use in backing up your contacts, so just check back on this blog. If you have any difficulties you can let us know through the comment box.
